WHAT IS IT?
The military style courses at Milites Dei Academy have a myriad of benefits and equip the student with valuable life skills. The courses are suitable as a bridging year or as a mere adventure, but provide thorough training in the security industry. In most cases, students are already recruited by employees before the course is completed.
For students without Grade 12, the academy offers the PSIRA and SASSETA qualifications – the National Certificate in General Security Practices and the Further Education and Training Certificate in Specialist Security Practices. It is on the same level as Grade 12.
Milites Dei Academy also caters for graduates and school leavers who have not yet worked, with a three-month course that trains the student as a specialist security operator. Most students have already been booked for a job before they are finished.

In 2020 you can change your life and after completing the course students will be helped to find work in the following areas:
• On passenger ships, private yachts and cargo ships.
• As private investigators.
• Anti-poaching units.
• Security at mines, lodges and 5-star hotels.
• Farm safety.
• Secret agents.
• Assets in transit.
• At major international security companies in South Africa and Africa.
• As trackers.

Students can also start their own security companies and complete freelance risk investigations.

The requirements for studying at the academy are:
(1) Grade 12 is not required, but grade 12s may also enroll.
(2) No crime record.
(3) Students must be at least 17 years old, but may also be older (until their 50s), as there is an appropriate course for all ages.
(4) Anyone from any country may enter.
(5) The tuition fee is payable before a student begins classes.
(6) Fairly good English skills are required because students’ books are in English and they can find work anywhere in the world after completing their studies.
