Three-Month Basics Training

Three-Month Basics Training is a transformative experience that many South Africans from past generations fondly remember. It should be made compulsory again for today’s youth. At Milites Dei Academy, we offer a similar specialist operative training that shapes young individuals into the best versions of themselves.

Every aspect of the training, from waking up to lights out, is carefully scheduled to instill discipline and growth. Unexpected challenges, like a surprise “oppie,” test resilience but ultimately lead to personal development.

For many, the Three-Month Basics Training is remembered as the best time of their lives, providing lasting value and life skills.

A former student shares his experience of his three-months basic training:

Army Three-Months Basics Training

“Looking back now, I realize it was an incredible self-discovery. As someone who loves the outdoors and weapons, I thought it was super cool. Three-Month Basics Training taught me to grow up quickly.

I learned that hardship could be fun and that you don’t die from hard exercise. Like most others, I also discovered that people don’t appreciate when you question the ‘system.’

Even years later, I still struggle with being politically correct and tend to challenge things that don’t make sense to me. The training taught me to handle disappointments and trust that things usually work out.
